According to CryptoSlam, the sportswear giant’s collection sales volume over the last 24 hours sent it to the very top of the leaderboard as the hottest NFT project in the world right now.

Based on reports, the Adidas NFT drop was in collaboration with Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), a private NFT collector gmoney, PUNKS Comic NFT creator Pixel Vault. Note that Adidas first announced its plans in early December when it bought a Bored Ape and overlaid it with Adidas apparel.

The launch included the collection of 30,000 Adidas Originals NFTs minted on the Ethereum blockchain. Among these NFTs, 20,000 of them were first offered to holders of Pixel Vault NFTs, Bored Ape or Mutant Ape NFTs, and gmoney or Adidas Originals POAPs — Ethereum-based proof of attendance badges.

Last month, Adidas first tweeted about their POAP token although it didn’t appear to celebrate any specific event. Still, this being crypto, people went ahead and minted them anyway, expecting everything to become clear at a later date.
