Bitcoin (BTC) moves above $42,000

Bitcoin has surpassed $42,000 on February 7, 2022, rising by over 3%.


The decentralized cryptocurrency is up by over 3% in the last 24-hours, and it is still above $42,000 at writing time.

According to CoinMarketCap, Bitcoin is trading at $42,835 at writing time, despite being down over 40% from its all-time high of around $69,000 on November 10, last year.


In addition, the largest cryptocurrency is up 15.77% in the past 7 days with a total market cap of over $810 billion. Still, Bitcoin is down from its $1.4 trillion value since November.

Aside from this, other digital assets like Cardano (ADA), XRP, Shiba Inu are also performing well today. Shiba Inu is up by over 26% in the last 24-hours, reaching around $0.00002905.


Meanwhile, Ethereum, the second-largest crypto by market cap is struggling to keep its value above the $3,000 value. However, it managed to jump by over 21% in the last 7 days.
