The non-fungible NFT collection of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) continues to find rising demand, with the most recent specimen recently selling for almost $2.8 million.


Bored Ape #232 was sold for a stunning 1080.69 ETH worth around $2.85 million on the night of January 30, 2022. The transaction was occurred on LooksRare, an NFT marketplace.


The army green background, a seaman's hat, sleepy eyes, a smoking jacket, a clean bored mouth, solid gold fur, and sleepy eyes on the bought Ape NFT make it one of the extremely unusual NFTs in the collection.


Due to the current price of ETH, the Ape NFT is not the largest sale in terms of dollar value, but it is the highest four-digit ETH sale for the price of a single one. Meanwhile, the collection's starting price is 118.99 eth at the time of writing.


The buzz surrounding the BAYC NFT line continues to grow, with a slew of celebrities joining in. Serena Williams, a female tennis player, recently posted a picture of her pink bored ape on Twitter.
