A Bored Apes Yacht Club NFT owner accidentally sold Bored Ape #3547 for 0.75 Ethereum. Note that the BAYC NFT is worth over 75 ETH.

Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs are some of the most expensive and well-known NFTs in the space. Because of this, the crypto community believes it was a big mistake from the holder to have sold it at $3,015, despite being valued at over $300,000, per CNET.

Moreover, data from OpenSea shows that the transaction was made on December 11. For instance, the BAYC #3547 owner bought the NFT for 1 ETH on May 30. At that time, ETH, the second-largest crypto by Mark cap was trading at about $2,290.

According to various sources, the digital collectible was meant to be listed at a price of 75 ETH, which at current price is roughly $300,000. But the NFT owner accidentally auctioned the NFT for 0.75 ETH.

Holder—Max told CNET that his mistake was a lapse of concentration, adding that he lists many items daily and he just wasn’t paying attention properly.

However, he instantly saw the error as his finger clicked the mouse but a bot sent a transaction with over 8 ETH of gas fees so it was immediately sniped before he could click the cancel button. Thus, Max just lost over $250,000.

Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs have surged in popularity, bringing in many celebrities in the space. Jimmy Fallon, Post Malone, Steph Curry, and Mark Cuban are some of the celebrities to hold the digital artworks.
