David Beckham enters the NFTs and metaverse with three trademark filings

After officially applying for various metaverse and non-fungible token (NFT)-related trademarks, David Beckham is the latest name to take his brand to the metaverse, following in the footsteps of a host of celebrities, organizations, and enterprises.

According to a tweet from NFT and metaverse trademark attorney Mike Kondoudis on April 24, the iconic player filed three trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on April 19.

The trademark registrations, according to Mr. Kondoudis, allude to Beckham's intentions for NFTs, digital tokens, virtual clothes, footwear, and headgear, as well as virtual performances and entertainment events.

The trademark was officially submitted by California-based DB Ventures Limited, the venture capital firm controlled by the football star-turned-businessman, under serial number 97369672.
