Dubai Police will showcase their second NFT collection at GITEX Global 2022

The second NFT collection from the Dubai Police will be unveiled at the Gulf Information Technology Expo (GITEX) that will take place between October 10 and 14, 2022.

Dubai Police announced that this upcoming collection will include 150 NFTs that stand for the police force's security, communication, and innovation values in a statement to Emirates' official news agency, WAM.

This news follows the force's inaugural NFT, which debuted in March 2022 and saw tremendous popularity, with 22.91 million people registering their interest to purchase the digital collectibles all throughout the world.

The Dubai Police's general department of artificial intelligence head, Brigadier Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, said in a statement that the agency has received more than 7,000 direct messages from participants through its various social media channels.

Brigadier Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi added,

"All participants were contacted to confirm digital wallet addresses, and those who met the requirements were shortlisted in a raffle draw, of which 150 individuals won and received the Dubai Police digital assets for free."

Al Razooqi spoke more about the launch and noted that it has received interest both locally and internationally, with the majority of online discussion coming from the USA, KSA, India, Nigeria, and other UAE regions.

Al Razooqi further mentioned that the social media post announcing this news on sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram received 589,173 views in a 24-hour period and received several shares and retweets.

Dubai Police, the first police agency in the world to develop its own digital assets, believes that this action is consistent with the UAE government's rising interest in digital assets and helps to draw in individuals who are drawn to this contemporary digital trend.
