Elon Musk Calls Out Binance and CEO CZ about DOGE Customers

Things escalated quickly between Binance CEO CZ and Elon Musk when Musk started teasing Binance after the exchange explained some of the issues about Dogecoin on its platform.

Note that Binance has been encountering problems with Dogecoin withdrawals for more than 10 days now. Reports say that the source of these issues is a technical problem that resent old transactions to Binance users, resulting in DOGE holders being unable to withdraw the digital asset.

According to multiple sources, 1.14.5 upgrade on the Dogecoin network is the source of the issues on the Binance crypto exchange. The problem only happened on the Binance exchange as they have a different wallet, especially for DOGE.

Moreover, the issue persisted to the point that Binance was forced to reconstruct the wallet. In a statement, the exchange noted:

“Since the incident occurred, DOGE Network has been providing us with support, but we have to rebuild the wallet entirely, which is causing a delay that we expect may last another week or so.”

However, this statement wasn't enough for the biggest Dogecoin supporter Elon Musk. Musk called out Binance CEO CZ on Twitter, saying, “What’s going on with your Doge customers? Sounds shady.“

Just minutes later, the comment section rapidly became an arena for another crypto battle as Binance CEO replied, arguing there’s nothing shady with the issue. Moving further, Musk kept teasing Binance by saying the memecoin holders should be protected from such problems.

Expanding further, CZ fired back at Elon with Tesla's report about the glitch that caused communication errors for nearly 12,000 US Model S, X, 3, and Y vehicles, resulting in Tesla canceling the FSD update on cars to fix the error.

However, CZ added that he overreacted over the word "shady" that Musk used and said that they are working on it the issue with Dogecoin developers to fix the issues.
