The humanoid robot is called the Tesla Bot. Moreover, it runs on the same AI used by Tesla's squadron of autonomous vehicles. However, the Tesla team did not reveal the functioning version of the robot. They only gave the world a glimpse of what they are up to.

Elon Musk added that Tesla is building a humanoid robot for "boring, repetitive and dangerous" work. Also Elon Musk said that the firm is building a humanoid robot and will apparently have a prototype next year.

Musk, who has earlier spoken about his fears over Artificial Intelligence (AI) getting out of hand, said, "We're setting it such that it is at a mechanical level, at a physical level, that you can run away from it and most likely overpower it."

The billionaire added,

"It's basically going to start dealing with work that is boring, repetitive, and dangerous. What is the work that people would least like to do?"

Musk did not say if it would be sold or for how much. The robot will have a screen positioned where a human face would be to display "useful information," Musk said.
