Lil Baby Now Owns Mutant Ape NFT

The Atlanta rapper Lil Baby changed his profile picture to a non-fungible token (NFT) Mutan Ape with pink fur and a blue cap.

This comes as the NFT craze is slowly taking over the rap game.

American celebrities have been getting into NFTs for a while now. Celebrities like Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Shaq, Lil Nas X, Wiz Khalifa, Steph Curry, and many others have also joined the NFT space.

Adding to this list, Torey Lanez released an NFT album (which drew much scrutiny). But in the last couple of weeks, it seems that more stars are promoting the NFT game, especially on social media.

As the world is getting into a new era of technology, nothing involving big-name rappers and the new tech comes as a surprise, but some fans were surprised when Lil Baby changed his Twitter profile picture to a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT worth around $150K.

Following this, a user explained that based on the OpenSea account used to buy the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT #129, the account was recently created and was not linked to any other NFTs besides Lil Baby's Twitter avatar. The account by the pseudonym @mona_vinci explained that the NFT was likely gifted to the rapper.

Specifically, @mona_vinci said that the NFT was transferred to Lil Baby from a crypto platform called MoonPay. On top of that, the user also adds that MoonPay had just followed Baby on Twitter.
