Recently, MicroStrategy bought an additional 3,907 BTC, bringing its total bitcoin holdings to 108,992. This represents less than 1% of total bitcoins.

The company tweeted that it spent around $177 million in cash on its bitcoins. According to the US Securities and Exchange Commission filing, the purchase is at an average price of $45,294 per BTC.

In addition, the total bitcoins that MicroStrategy acquired is about $2.918 billion with an average price of about $26,769 per bitcoin. To clarify, the company said that the amount includes all fees and expenses.

While this news comes as a surprise to other people, it doesn't surprise the crypto community as Michael Saylor, founder and CEO of MicroStrategy once, said that the firm would keep buying and hodl more BTC.

Moreover, Saylor said he sees bitcoin as a digital property that is “the most compelling technical opportunity of the decade.”

Note that Saylor has said in the past that he and the firm will remain focused on BTC and will not invest in other cryptos such as Ethereum.
