Data from market tracker DappRadar shows the sales volume of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in the third quarter of 2021 exceeded $10 billion.
The volume is up 8 times higher than the previous quarter at $1.3 billion and in Q1 $1.2 billion. This number comes from OpenSea, the largest NFT marketplace, hitting over $3 billion in sales volumes this past August.
What's more, more than half of its overall sales volume happened in August during this time. Aside from the volumes, the platform also saw an almost 200% increase in users. Also, users' addresses increased to around 150,000.
In addition, the NFT Q3 volumes to $10.7 billion bring the total for the year to about $13.2 billion.
