Over 1.5 billion SHIB tokens have been destroyed in the last seven days, with 600 million torched since Sunday morning - a total of over 2.4 billion SHIB.
SHIB followers continue to use the technology of "token burns" to remove large amounts of Shiba Inu meme crypto tokens from circulation.
A total of 2.2 billion SHIB have been destroyed since the beginning of last week. According to the @shibburn Twitter handle, one-fourth of it was torched in the last 24 hours.

Between March 14 and 20, according to the Twitter account @shibburn, which represents a company that burns tokens and provides information on burn transactions from Etherscan to their website, over 2.4 billion SHIB were moved to dead-end wallets, where they would never be spent or withdrawn again.
According to a tweet from the aforementioned account on Sunday, a total of 1,633,542,121 Shiba Inu tokens were transferred to dead addresses by various teams and people who have pledged to burn SHIB.
At the current currency rate, the aforementioned quantity of SHIB is equivalent to $37,979. It took 55 transactions to burn that much canine cryptocurrency.
Last week, enormous sums of SHIB were destroyed in a single 24-hour period: 600.7 million and 190 million. The previous burn, on the other hand, was planned with the burn pot readied the month before.
According to the same Twitter account, a total of 175,109,831 SHIB tokens were taken from the circulating supply in the last 24 hours, which took 87 transfers.
In addition, a larger sum of SHIB has been transferred to dead wallets today—392,838,690 tokens in just four large transactions.
