Colin Wu, a Chinese crypto writer, and blogger, is spreading the news that Filecoin (FIL) and Polygon (MATIC), 2 prominent blockchain platforms, are extending their relationship in the areas of NFTs, Metaverse, and gaming. Wu gave a link to a recent Filecoin blog post announcing the news
Polygon strengthens its relationship with Filecoin
As part of the cooperation, Filecoin and Polygon have started to offer grants and hackathons to help dev teams and NFT projects interface with Filecoin and the InterPlanetary File System using the Polygon blockchain (IPFS).
Polygon is one of the so-called Ethereum killers, which has gained popularity among NFT projects and DLT game developers by seeking to tackle ETH bottlenecks such as high gas fees and sluggish transaction validation.
Following that, Polygon Studios was founded to assist game developers and NFT projects working with Web 3.0.
At the same time, IPFS and Filecoin have piqued the curiosity of a large number of teams working on play-to-earn and NFT-related applications, as both platforms enable proven and decentralized means to store metadata and material such as videos.
