Post Malone gets himself 2 Bored Ape NFTs worth over $700K

Post Malone joins the list of celebrities to jump on the non-fungible token (NFT) craze.

American rapper put almost $1 million on 2 NFTs from one of the most popular digital collections, Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT. Notably, Post Malone bought BAYC NFT #961 and #9039 for a whopping combined total of 160 ETH worth $734,401.60 at Ethereum current value on CoinMarketCap.

According to the TikTok account @moonpayhq, the famous rapper bought the NFTs on OpenSea, a popular NFT marketplace for buying and selling digital artworks. In the video, Post could be heard saying,

“My friends are gonna love this, they’re going to freak out. They love the cryptos, NFTs.”

The famous American rapper found one trait shared between his apes, as they are both sporting cowboy hats – a thing he has been known to wear since then and now.

With NFTs becoming more mainstream, celebrities are now jumping on the bandwagon, showing off their digital collections as a status symbol. The Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT (BAYC) has become one of the famous NFTs among celebrities, with some digital collectibles being sold on the NFT marketplace for millions of dollars.

Post Malone joined stars like Lil Baby, Steph Curry, Lionel Messi, Jimmy Fallon, Snoop Dogg, and Jermaine Dupri to get into the NFT space.
