According to the South Korean electronics giant, the MICRO LED, Neo QLED, and The Frame smart TV models will come with an NFT platform for discovering purchasing, and trading digital artwork.

The groundbreaking NFT platform will let users browse, display, buy, and trade digital collectibles directly from their TVs.

In addition, the platform will allow buyers to preview NFT artworks before buying them and explore blockchain metadata to confirm their origin. Aside from this, creators could also calibrate and preset the display settings for their digital artwork so that everyone can see them in the true-to-original form.

This Samsung surprising announcement on January 3, comes as the NFT space keeps rising in popularity since last year with the largest NFT marketplace, OpenSea, surpassing $15 billion in 2021.

Samsung’s geared up to support this nascent technology to appease its rapidly growing user base. In 2019, the company launched the Samsung Blockchain Wallet on its Galaxy phones.
