Bitstamp, one of the oldest cryptocurrency trading platforms, has listed Shiba Inu (SHIB) in what appears to be one of major endorsements for the memecoin to date.

The crypto exchange listed SHIBA INU (SHIB) along with other digital assets, including dYdX (DYDX), Gala (GALA), and Perpetual Protocol (PERP).

Based on the announcement, users can proceed with deposits and withdrawals that have been opened on December 9 at 8:00 a.m. UTC.

However, it is worth mentioning that these cryptocurrencies will not be available in the U.S. and Singapore for now.

Also, note that Bitstamp crypto exchange also listed Cardano (ADA) in late November.

For instance, the exchange ignored the original memecoin Dogecoin despite the massive retail interest that pushed the price of the digital asset through the top in early 2021.

But Bitstamp CEO Julian Sawyer commented on the exchange decision in September, asserting that they chooses quality over quantity. This is due to Elon Musk's influence on Dogecoin's price action.

Sawyer said that the problem is that if you go to some that are hyped up by a billionaire's tweet, or crashes on a billionaire's tweet, they don't think that's right.
