Two of Ethereum's biggest whales bought 600,000 APE for $6.6 million.

The debut of APE currency has unquestionably been the most talked-about topic this week. After being airdropped to holders of NFTs linked with the Bored Ape Yacht Club, the cryptocurrency joined the open market on Thursday (BAYC). Large Ethereum holders appear to be wagering big on the coin as well.

A few days ago, two of Ethereum's biggest whales snatched up a substantial amount of APE. WhaleStats, a popular whale-tracking website, has detected the trades.

On March 18th, the first address purchased 300,000 APE (worth $3.3 million at current pricing). The trade was worth $4.2 million at the time, thus the whale is currently in the red.

It's worth noting that, despite being the 10th largest ETH whale, his portfolio is nearly entirely made up of FTT tokens, the FTX exchange's native currency.

The second transaction was completed by Ethereum's 20th largest whale, who purchased the same amount of APE on the same day.

In any event, APE coin is currently trading at a loss of 20%, with a price of $11.
