UAE has announced the opening of the Metaverse's first hospital, which will open in October.
Thumbay Group will be in charge of the medical Metaverse. Thumbay, a healthcare provider, has already begun work on the project.
This will be a fully operational virtual hospital that patients will be able to visit using avatars. Avatars can also be used to engage with doctors.
Dr Thumbay Moideen, founder and president of Thumbay Group, stated,
“We are already working on it and expect it to launch before October this year. This will be a complete virtual hospital where people will come with an avatar and consult with the doctor. To cater to medical tourism, we will allow patients to see what the hospital looks like in the metaverse if they travel and come to Thumbay healthcare facility.”
Thumbay Group provides long-term care to patients who have been hospitalized for at least six months, are bedridden, or are paralyzed with augmented reality and virtual reality metaverse technology.
The virtual hospital also intends to assist people in other ways. People with permanent disabilities, for example.
The UAE Ministry of Health and Community Protection opened the world's first customer service center using Metaverse technologies in Dubai in January (MOHAP).
This center is also intended to address the needs of clients in 3D spaces in an efficient manner. All while giving them with a sensory experience that is engaging and technologically immersive.
Patients can rapidly explore the world of MetaHealth by chatting with a real person from the Customer Satisfaction Center.
