During an interview with Business Insider, Roszak expressed his beliefs toward the DeFi industry. He said he believes a “perfect storm” is underway for the industry. This is due to the growth of crypto adoption while investors worldwide are chasing higher yields, which are on DeFi platforms.

As per the interview, the co-founder of Vesper, Roszak said,

"Right now we’re sitting at a DeFi market cap of about $80 billion. My sense is that a year from now it will add a zero."

In addition, data also confirms that DeFi projects increased by 385%. Therefore, it could go higher if the trend continues like this till next year. This means it could touch the $800 billion mark.

Moreover, Roszak added that the expansion seen in DeFi is all because of investors seeking strong yields on platforms that offer incentives to liquidity providers. This includes the distribution of their own native tokens.

According to the investor, the government’s relationship with the industry will be critical for its growth. Speaking of the government, he stressed that the latest Chinese crypto market crackdown is “like a trillion-dollar gift today that they’ve just handed over.”
